JPI Urban Europe was created in 2010 to address the global urban challenges of today with the ambition to develop a European research and innovation hub on urban matters and create European solutions by means of coordinated research [1].

JPI Urban Europe welcomes anyone with a drive and concern to improve 21st century urban life. Its task is to connect public authorities, civil society, scientists, innovators, business and industry to provide a new environment for research and innovation [1].

Within the context of Horizon 2020 EXPAND II Project (EXPAND II - Widening participation of countries and stakeholders in JPI Urban Europe through capacity building in urban policy, funding and research) we are organising "National Coordination Event on Sustainable Urban Future" event on 22 February 2021 with the aim to ensure greater participation of Turkey in JPI Urban Europe activities, to make decisions about long-term participation and to support capacity building. In the event, it is planned to inform our national stakeholders about the "Driving Urban Transitions to a Sustainable Future (DUT)" and "Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETP)" partnerships, which are two of the upcoming Horizon Europe Partnerships related to JPI Urban Europe.
