A Report titled “Integration of Social Sciences and Humanities in Horizon 2020: Participants, budget and disciplines” has been published by the European Commission to reveal the efficiency of the implementation of “SSH-flagged” topics in the Societal Challenges and Industrial Leadership pillars of H2020 Programme.

The main aim of this study is to reveal the integration of social sciences and humanities in all SSH-flagged projects funded in 2015. By  this, conditions of having SSH-flagged analyzed by  their type of participants, consortium structure and budget share.

Results of the Report present the lagging behind the desired level of integration of social sciences and humanities. To this respect, European Commission should take imminent measures to provide “the embedment” of social sciences and humanities in H2020 thematic pillars.
