Horizon2020 Food Security, Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry, Marine and Maritime and Inland Water Research and the Bioeconomy field 2020 Call is opened for Project proposals on 15th of October, 2019.

In the context of the 2020 Call, there are 4 different sub-calls which are open for project proposals. The sub-calls are as follows:

  1. Sustainable Food Security – SFS:  The SFS call focuses on more resilient and resource efficient value chains, environment-smart and climate-smart primary production, a competitive food industry, healthy and safe foods and diets for all, support to the implementation of the EU-Africa Partnership on food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture, implementation of the EU-China FAB Flagship initiative. Within the focus points given, the SFS call contains 14 different topics and has a budget of € 173 Million.
  2. Blue Growth – BG: The BG call focuses on boosting Innovation for emerging blue growth activities, linking healthy oceans and seas with healthy people, the Arctic dimension, valorising the Mediterranean Sea basin. Within the focus points given, the BG call contains 3 different topics and has a budget of € 52 Million.
  3. Rural Renaissence – RUR: The RUR call focuses on new approaches towards policies and governance, new value chains and business models, innovation and skill development. Within the focus points given, the RUR call contains 8 different topics and has a budget of € 88 Million.
  4. Food and Natural Resources – FNR: The FNR call focuses on sustainably managing and using natural resources from land and sea, ensuring food and nutrition security, providing safe, healthy and nutritious diets, accelerating the transition from a fossil-based linear economy to a low emission, low-carbon circular economy and sustainable bio-based economy. Within the focus points given, the FNR call contains 18 different topics and has a budget of € 209 Million


The project proposal deadline of SC2 2020 Call is 22nd of January, 2020.
