Space research is supported in Horizon 2020 under the priority "Industrial Leadership", in line with the main objective and challenge to ensure that space will remain accessible to Europe and safe to operate in the long run.

This will anchor and structure space research. Actions will be carried out in conjunction with research activities of the Member States and European Space Agency (ESA), aiming at building up complementarity among different actors.
